Travel Grants
Rolling submissions

The purpose of the Travel Grant Program shall be to assist graduate students in attending professional conferences, both as presenters and attenders. Starting this semester, students attending case competitions and traveling to archives are also eligible. The program is intended to cover expenses that graduate students would otherwise be forced to pay out-of-pocket. It is meant to supplement existing funds and not to supersede them. Please note that travel grant applications must be turned prior to the date of travel for the conference. Reimbursements must be requested within 30 days of the close of the conference.  More Information and Applications here.

Your department (or departmental unit) must have an active representative in the Graduate Student Senate (GSS) from the date of application through the dates of the conference, case competition, or archival travel. It shall be the responsibility of the student to ensure his/her unit maintains active status. All approved travel grant applications are contingent upon verification of active unit status.
Finally, all recipients of a Travel Grant who present at a conference must submit an abstract for the Graduate Research Review.

LU Forum Research Grants

These grants are available to all Lehigh University students.  They are awarded based on the student-demonstrated significance of the project and its relationship to his/her education goals. Preference is given to undergraduates, but graduate students with meritorious projects outside their thesis work are also considered. The Grants normally do not exceed $500 and usually are smaller, e.g., $100-200. Proposals may be submitted at any time, but awards are made shortly after the beginning of the fall semester, according to the availability of funds.
